Earlier in April, actress Jasmin Bhasin wrapped up shooting for her Punjabi film with Gippy Grewal in London. And while both the actors have treated us to some amazing moments from the shoot, I am eager to see this comedy unfold on the big screen. Well, the reason why I am so excited about the film, Honeymoon is because this marks Jasmin’s debut in the Punjabi film industry. And looks like the wait to see Jasmin on the 70mm is not very long. The makers have announced today that the film will release on Diwali, i.e. 25th October.
Honeymoon revolves around the story of a newly married couple- Deep & Sukh who want to go on their ‘honeymoon’. But Deep’s naïve and extended family who has never been outside of their village, are blissfully unaware of what a honeymoon actually entails, so they tag along with the newlyweds. And thus begins a mad ride of 16 people traveling together on the honeymoon which is only meant for the lovebirds.

For those who don’t know, Honeymoon, went on floors in January this year, its first schedule was shot in India and the last one that began in March, was shot in London. The romantic comedy is directed by Amarpreet G S Chhabra, written by Naresh Kathooria, and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Harman Baweja, and Vicky Bahri under the banners of T-series Film and Baweja Studios.
This is not Jasmin’s first stint at the movies, earlier, the young actress starred in lots of South films. Other than this, Jasmin has been a popular part of the television industry and her performance on Bigg Boss 14 is what got her lots of acclaim. Other than this Jasmin is also known for shows like Dilse Dil Tak, and many more.
Honestly, seeing the fun videos from the set, I am waiting for the mad Punjabi romedy to tickle my funny bones.
