Varun Dhawan & Janhvi Kapoor To Pair Up For Sajid Nadiadwala & Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Bawaal’

It’s been a while since I got to see Varun Dhawan on the screen with his last release being Coolie No. 1 in 2020. At a recent press conference even the actor admitted to feeling anxious and insecure about this gap, but asserted that he will make up for it with Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya coming this year, and now there is a new addition to the list as well, and this is quite a thrilling one.

Taking to social media just a few minutes ago, Varun announced his next in collaboration with the National Award winning duo from Chhichhore, Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari, titled Bawaal. The film will also mark his first time pairing with Janhvi Kapoor and it will be releasing on April 7, 2023.

As the title suggests, I am sure that this one is going to be a bawaal indeed. The rumours of this film have been floating around for quite a few months now, and now that the cat is finally out of the bag, I can’t help but feel excited. Varun has been choosing quite interesting and unique scripts lately with films like Bhediya and Ekkis, and with Nitesh behind this one, I am sure Bawaal is going to something completely different as well, considering the credentials the filmmakers has to his name.

Janhvi and Varun were earlier reportedly supposed to pair up for Shashank Khaitan‘s Mr Lele, but the film eventually got shelved. While I was disappointed because of it since I wanted to see this fresh pairing on screen, I am quite delighted now that Sajid and Nitesh realised the potential of this duo and are now the first filmmakers to bring it to screen.

Bawaal is promising great things from the start, with the people working on it and while I await more details on the film in the coming time, for now, I am just enjoying this announcement and reeling in its excitement.
