The key focus of Instagram which is one of the most famous digital platforms is to improve user experience. Well, how do they achieve this? By introducing features and tools that give their users more choice and control. Here’s one example, recently Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, announced two new ways to choose what kind of posts you wanna see on your feed: ‘Favourites’ and ‘Following’. Now, this update surely gives you more choice and control over your Instagram feed, don’t you agree? So, read on to know more and quickly catch up on the posts you don’t want to miss!
Check this out!
A little about the ‘Favourites’ feed mode…
‘Favourties‘ as the name suggests is a feed mode that will show you the latest posts from a list of specific accounts that you choose like your best friends, favourite creators, etc. One can only select 50 accounts to their favourites list. However, one can make changes to this list at any time. Don’t worry people will not get notified when they are added or removed from the list, hehe. In addition, the posts of your favourites will be reflected higher or on the top of your ‘Home‘ feed (the feed that had a mix of both following and favourites)
A little about the ‘Following’ feed mode –
The ‘Following’ feed mode option of Instagram allows users to see the latest posts from accounts that they follow, that too in the order they were posted that is in chronological order. ‘Oh Yesss’, now that’s exactly what we wanted! More choice and control over what we see, amazing right?
How to use these features?
To use the ‘Favourites’ and ‘Following’ feature, go on Instagram on the extreme top left corner of your Home page and click on the drop-down option. Voila, now you get the power to choose the posts you wanna see on your feed in a jiffy.
We absolutely love how Instagram introduces new updates and features that improve our experience on the app. Brb, need to start making our list of favourites, well you also must get going!
