There was a time in showbiz when there was a clear demarcation between the big and the small screens, but over the years that distinction has been blurring out. While we have many TV artists crossing over to films and making a name for themselves like Radhika Madan and Mrunal Thakur, we also have big screen names going over to the small screen and increasing their reach within Indian households. And now, there is a new addition the latter list as actress Neetu Kapoor is all set to make her TV debut as a judge on a dance show.
Colors Tv is introducing a spin off to their highly successful dance show Dance Deewane, which is titled Dance Deewane Juniors, and the show will give platform to kids from the age group 4-14 years to showcase their dancing talent, and they can perform in solos, duets or as a group. Neetu has been roped in on the judging panel for this show and she will be joined by the gorgeous dancing queen Nora Fatehi and the ace choreographer Marzi Pestonji.
The auditions for the show are currently underway and it will soon start airing on Colors, but I have to say that this unique judging panel has surely increased my intrigue for the show. I have seen Neetu as a guest judge on some other reality shows before and the energy that she brings is infectious. Add to that Marzi’s humour and Nora’s skills, and you have the perfect recipe for success.
Neetu is all set to return to the big screen as well this year alongside Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor in Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and now she even has her TV debut in the offing. With a judging panel like this trying to find out the best talent in the next generation, Dance Deewane Junior is already building out to be one of the most awaited reality shows this year, and I can’t wait to witness the camaraderie between Neetu, Marzi and Nora on screen.
