The teaser of Dasvi starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur is out and I’m super excited already! It sees Bachchan essay the role of Ganga Ram Chaudhary who is in jail and wants to prepare for his grade 10th exams. The tagline of the film also says, ‘Jail se dasvi karna is my right to education’.
What I’ve loved about the teaser is Bachchan’s never-seen-before avatar and him pulling off Chaudhary’s colloquial accent as he also comes across as fun and entertaining while he dances it out.

This definitely brings a smile on my face and I totally cannot wait for what the film has in store. The release date is also announced along with the teaser. Dasvi is set to release on April 7 on Netflix and Jio Cinema. The film is directed by Tushar Jalota who makes his directorial debut and has been an assistant director on films like Barfi!, Jannat 2 and associate director on films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela and Padmaavat. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Bake My Cake Films.
I’m so looking forward to this one considering AB was so good in his previous OTT projects like The Big Bull and Bob Biswas. The actor also has a number of other projects lined up like R Balki’s Ghoomer, apart from Dasvi.
