Friends, it is safe to say that white is the most elegant and sophisticated colour out there. How do I know this you ask? Two of India’s biggest Bollywood starlets were seen sporting the same colour on two different occasions in two distinctly different styles as well. My fashion spidey sense is tingling and I can tell you now that it looks like white is going to be big for summer 2022. Alia Bhatt in Giambattista Valli
Ami Patel styles Alia Bhatt in a Giambattista Valli white, tweed jacket and matching tweed mini dress. This is the prettiest Alia has looked in a while. The jacket features horizontal, striped embroidery and the sleeveless dress features a scoop neck with scallop link piping. Although my favourite detailing on this dress is that tiny side slit with pearl embellishments on the edges. The textures and colours at play on this white dress just leave you fixated.
She accessorises her look with strappy pearl and diamond encrusted Christian Louboutin stilettos. Exactly the kind of heels you need to accentuate your posture and legs in a dress like that. Mike Desir gives her a messy bun with frayed hair strands and makeup artist Puneet B Saini aces dewy makeup with peach lipstick and matching eyeshadow that is highlighted with mascara laden lashes that really does the trick for this look.
Deepika Padukone in Dolce & Gabbana
Shaleena Nathani styles Deepika Padukone in a strapless corset and ripped jeans from Dolce & Gabbana. The corset features criss-cross lace up detailing in the centre and the sides of it. Allowing you to tie it as loosely and tightly as you would like. The corset highlights and exaggerates her tiny waistline and those chiselled collar bones, oh lala! While I loved this corset, those ripped boyfriend jeans feel like quite a missed opportunity for how glorious this look could have been.
She accessories her look with chunky, chain link gold earrings from Misho Designs By Suhani Parekh and white pointy pumps. Makeup artist Florian Hurel gives her the classic smokey eyes, strong brows and nude lips combo that works well with this all-white look. And hairstylist Yianni Tsapatori pulls her hair back into a messy bun.
