Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Dhairya Karwa and Ananya Panday have been busy promoting Gehraiyaan that was released on OTT platform Amazon Prime. Loved the mood, cinematography and music that this movie had to offer and of course we had some stylish looks come our way from the promotions as well. Deepika has a strong foothold when it comes to fashion and has garnered the title of a glamazon all thanks to celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani. Now we can’t say we loved all her looks but 3 of them definitely stood out to us. Scroll on for more.
On the work front, Deepika will be seen reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathan and will star opposite Prabhas in an untitled science fiction film. The star is all set to produce and star in the remake of The Intern—the American movie with Anne Hathway and Robert De Niro. Since Amitabh Bachchan and she had great chemistry in Piku, we’re hoping he might play De Niro’s role. She is also producing and starring in Fighter with Hrithik Roshan where she will portray Draupadi; in a retelling of the Mahabharata from her character’s perspective. Gotta say that this girl is on FYAH!
Here’s a looking back at Deepika Padukone’s OOTD’s from the Gehraiyaan promotions:
Look 1
Deepika sports a checkered co-ord set and hits me with ‘90s nostalgia when skirt suits were all the rage. Shaleena gives her the Damier Azur cropped trucker jacket and matching A-line, mini skirt all from Louis Vuitton. The jacket features flap pockets on the chest and a notch lapel collar. Underneath a basic, soft white-tee with sliver collar clips at the neck completes her look. She accessorises her look with gold, LV logo hoop earrings, knee-high, white socks and beige, suede knee-high boots. Love how effortlessly all the neutral colours come together in this OOTD. To add a pop of colour and make a statement she opts for a scarlet, Capucines MM handbag from Louis Vuitton made from taurillon leather. Yianni Tsapatori gives her a messy top knot with a few stray strands and Anil C opts of dewy monochromatic makeup with soft, smokey eyes and a muddy brown lippie that stands out on DP’s gorgeous caramel skin.
Look 2
Deepika is seen wearing a structured, long patent leather blazer with power shoulders that she pairs with a mini, neon green skirt and a black, floral scoop neck top all from Alex Perry. And while this look might be wonderful, I just wish that DP would wear more Indian brands and mix them with international ones. Who knows, maybe some of those looks might be far more memorable in time! The stand out item for me is that jacket and I am coveting it hard! She pairs her look with pointed-toe, mule wrap pumps from Magda Butrym. Given that Yianni Tsapatori gave her a messy low bun that puts her face in full focus some studs on the ears might have looked lovely, but I love me some no jewellery looks too cause it just lets the outfit do all the talking. Makeup artist Anil C gives her strong brows, smokey brown, kohl-lined eyes, bronzeish skin and a muted rose pout. All in all this look is just flawless.
Look 3
Deepika wears a slinky, midi style black and beige, geometric print dress from David Koma. What I love about this look is how the dress wraps her body like a warm hug and obviously, with a body like hers, she does perfect justice to it. The dress features a deep-V polo neckline with sharp lapels. A dress like this need not be overly accessorized, chunky gold hoops like Deepika’s and a pair of black stilettos from Christain Louboutin can really elevate the look entirely. To match the slickness of the look Yianni Tsapatori gives her slick pulled back hair that opens up into a messy ponytail, I actually quite love this hairstyle on her. Tanvi Chemburkar opts for graphic black liner, contoured and flushed cheeks along with nude lipstick add to her glam.
