I’ve been so impressed with Scam 1992, it’s probably one of the best Indian series I’ve witnessed; if not the best. So, what does one even say about the man behind it? Hansal Mehta is pure genius and I believe that post Scam 1992, the expectation from him has gone even higher.
His upcoming projects are Faraaz with newcomers Aditya Rawal and Zahan Kapoor and Captain India starring Kartik Aaryan. Captain India had been in news lately for being accused of plagiarism. The producer of Operation Yemen, Subhash Kale felt that the plot of Captain India was similar to his film. When asked about it, during an exclusive interview with Shravan Shah, Entertainment Head, MissMalini,
Hansal Mehta expressed,
“Apparently, the issue has now been resolved internally. I know this person in question. He is a studio owner. He could have just called me! There was no need to make such a big issue publicly. But now it’s been resolved between the producers and him. The issue of Plagiarism was really far-fetched to put it very mildly.
Mehta further opened up about the prep on Captain India and when the film will go on floors.
He said,
“We’ll be starting by later this year. That’s all I can say at the moment. Kartik has other films to complete before he moves into Captain India. There’s going to be a rigorous training and workshops before we actually get into the shoot. It’s the kind of territory I’ve not handled before in terms of the scale that the film promises. One of the things I did was, I began to take flying lessons. I’m really enjoying because I’ve begun to take off a flight successfully from Mumbai airport and I’ve had a couple of successful landings too.”
Wow! That’s really impressive I must say. We’re yet to know about Kartik’s preparations for the film but it’s so exciting to know that the director is so well-prepped that he’s learned to fly! Here’s wishing Hansal all the best for Captain India. All excited for it!
