Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey has been an exciting and special project for me as an audience, as it marks his reunion with most members of the team. Be it his director Farhad Samji, with whom he has worked last on Housefull 4, his producer Sajid Nadiadwala with whom he shares a great past record or his two leading ladies Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez. It’s this familiarity and their previous track record that make the film a highly-awaited one, and now we have a new date with it.
Taking to social media, Akshay announced the new release date of Bachchan Pandey to be March 18, 2022 along with some new stills from the film that have just increased my curiosity many folds. The new posters see Akshay in his gangster avatar. I was gobsmacked by his look from the first time I saw it, and with each new glimpse of it, my fascination with it just grows on.
Check out the announcement:
Bachchan Pandey was earlier supposed to arrive in theatres on Republic Day this year but due to the surge in Covid cases owing to the Omicron variant, the scenario has changed. Cinema halls are shut again in a lot of parts of the country, thus pushing the release seems like the best idea. And if not Republic Day, I will get to now celebrate Holi with the team of Bachchan Pandey and that just doubles up my excitement for the film as well as for Holi.
