In the next few projects of his, Salman Khan is all set to unite with some of the biggest stars of not just Bollywood but also from down South, and these collaborations are making me excited. Firstly, the actor reportedly has a cameo in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, along with Shah Rukh Khan. Then he and SRK again have crossovers in Pathan and Tiger 3. Post that, he is reportedly teaming up with South superstar Venkatesh for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, and he will also be seen in the Chiranjeevi-starrer Godfather. While I am looking forward to all of these projects, there is a development on the latter that has got me pumped up.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Salman is all set to shoot for his extended cameo in Godfather with Chiranjeevi this month. Earlier the actor was supposed to be wrapping up Tiger 3 this month with an action sequence opposite Emraan Hashmi, followed by a 15-day leg of shoot with Katrina Kaif in Delhi, but it all got postponed due to Covid.
A source close to the development shared:
“The outdoor schedule of Tiger 3 has been delayed. Salman and his team are in constant touch with Chiranjeevi and the team of Godfather to work out on the logistics. There is a strong possibility of Salman and Chiranjeevi uniting for this action-packed political thriller as early as the end of January.”
The source further added that Salman will be shooting for about a week with Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad. Godfather is an official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, Lucifer, and is being helmed by Mohan Raja.
The source added:
“Salman’s special role is dynamic and he allotted 5 to 7 days for the shoot as of now. The makers have curated several larger-than-life moments keeping his aura in mind. Godfather is being positioned as a Pan India film. If AP/TG government puts restrictions on film shoots, the schedule will be pushed. But as things stand today, January is when the team is looking to shoot for Godfather with Salman and Chiranjeevi.”
Salman seems to be on a professional roll right now with so many exciting collaborations in the line up, and along with it, the actor is also returning with the sequels of his blockbusters No Entry and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman’s films are always like a festival in theatres and having not been able to see a full-fledged Salman film on screen for a while now, I am excited to see all these projects come to fruition on the big screen, hopefully soon.
