Big announcements on celebrities’ birthdays has become quite a common practice in today’s time in Bollywood. As a viewer, it kind of makes me excited and want to look forward to these days because I know I will be in for something special. Keeping up with this tradition, last year on this day, birthday boy Hrithik Roshan announced his maiden collaboration with Deepika Padukone in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, and this year too, he has brought something special for his fans, as he unveiled his first look from Vikram Vedha.
Check out Hrithik’s look from Vikram Vedha:
The actor unveiled his first look as Vedha in the upcoming remake of the Tamil film. The still sees him in a rugged avatar with a full beard and Hrithik is pulling it off like a pro. In the film, the actor plays a gangster and in this look, he is covered with blood stains, thus promising a gory yet intriguing tale that I am really eager to witness on screen.
Vikram Vedha is a 2017 Tamil neo-noir action thriller film that starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. The Hindi remake sees Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik step into their shoes as a cop and gangster respectively. It also features Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles.
On the occasion of Hrithik’s birthday, his father, actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan also gave an update on the much-awaited Krrish 4. In a conversation with ETimes, Rakesh said that he is waiting for the pandemic to get over to start work on the film, and he is hopeful that it should settle down this year. He insisted that they are planning a huge film and they don’t want it to get stuck. Thus, instead of jumping into it right now, the veteran is currently enjoying his weekends in the peaceful and non-polluted Lonavala.
For the past two years now, Hrithik has made his birthday special for me as a cinema buff with such big announcements, and now, I will always expect something huge to come out of this day every year. As for the films that he has undertaken, I have been eager to see Hrithik follow up the roaring success of WAR in 2019, and with films like Fighter and Vikram Vedha up next, the actor will surely rule the box-office.
