When everyone is sipping on their drinks this holiday season and all you teetotallers are feeling left out—don’t fret, we have got you covered. We have curated a special list of warm and cold drinks best suited to celebrate the festive cheer and make the best with what you have. Read on to find out!
1) Eggnog
This drink is made when some cream is whipped with eggs and topped with generously sprinkled cinnamon and nutmeg. You do not need alcohol to savour eggnog, just a dash of vanilla can make the difference. The creamy, flavourful drink is one of the most delicious festive recipes there is.
2) Spiced Hot Chocolate
Spiced Hot Chocolate should be the coolest addition to your festive recipe list. This drink is made with a dash of red hot cayenne and cinnamon brewed in hot cocoa milk. Served with a mushy dollop of torched marshmallows and garnished with chocolate shavings, this drink is best enjoyed hot on a chilly winter night.
3) Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine
Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine feels like a breath of fresh air and tastes just as good as the alcoholic version of the recipe. Prepared with a warm bottle of grape juice mixed with orange zest, cinnamon and star anise, this drink is refreshing and does not quite disappoint: just like its alcoholic counterpart.
4) Passion Fruit Martini
Prepared with a tall glass of sparkling grape juice infused with a non-alcoholic spirit or soda, it is whipped with an egg white and mixed with freshly squeezed passion fruit puree. This tall glass of sparkling drink is served with zesty lime juice and a generous amount of ice.
5) Virgin Mojito
When in doubt, call for a Mojito! There is a wide range of flavours to choose from. There’s strawberry, orange, kiwi, pineapple, grape, ginger—the list is endless. It is usually prepared with sliced lemons, garden-fresh green mint leaves and a newly popped soda bottle. When muddled together, you get a fresh drink that is mixed with the flavour of your choice and a handful of ice cubes!
