Last month, when I went to watch John Abraham in Satyameva Jayate 2, I was blown away by him. In a triple role, with each one stronger than the other physically, I thought that I had already seen the superhuman side of him on screen. But I think it was just a glimpse, as the recently released teaser of Attack, also featuring Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh, promises a high-octane adventure ride.
Check out the teaser here:
Without revealing much, the teaser gives us a glimpse of a distraught and broken John in the middle of Delhi under attack, with Jacqueline as a part of an airport staff running to save her life. What follows is John being turned into a super soldier, and taking on the bad guys, with Rakul, I assume, being the mind behind John’s transformation.
Attack is based on a daring rescue mission led by a lone ranger officer played by John. The teaser offers a high-octane action extravaganza with the actor at the centre of it and there couldn’t have been a better actor to take on that role. If he can show superhuman level strength as a farmer, politician and a cop in Satyameva Jayate 2, I can only imagine the horizons it opens up for him to explore as a super soldier.
John’s stint with action goes way back and each time the actor has given something to admire. So, I am counting on the same to happen with Attack too. The film is directed by Lakshya Raj Anand and produced by John, Dr Jayantilal Gada and Ajay Kapoor. The film is slated to hit the theatres on January 28, 2022 and the timing seems so apt with just around Republic Day. John and action are a match made in heaven and this teaser just gave me an adrenaline rush, making me eager to watch the film in theatres.
