Mrunal Thakur has taken over the industry with multiple releases that are being loved by the viewers. The Dhamaka actress has garnered immense love and appreciation from the audience and even I am one of them. Over the years, Mrunal has ascended in terms of everything, be it her performances, her style, her confidence, and most importantly her chic looks. In a recent interview with Mid-day, the actress talked about the types of roles women get in today’s time and how they are mostly secondary and victimized.
Elaborating her understanding on the same, Mrunal said:
I have made sure the women I play are firm and have a voice of their own. I am happy that through films like Toofaan, Dhamaka, and Batla House, I am sending a message out. Enough being supportive, or playing the victim card in films. Women play an important role in men’s lives; it should be presented that way. They don’t have to be shown as bechari. Many women will relate to my part in Jersey. Women look forward to a secure future for themselves and their kids. My character is strong, speaks her mind, and what she wants.
Mrunal had a very busy last month with the release of her digital hit Dhamaka, followed by the poster release of Aankh Micholi and then, the trailer release of her and Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey, which is slated to release on December 31, 2021. With each new movie, Mrunal is exhibiting a firm grasp on the knowledge of the industry and I am sure, there are a lot of grand things in the future for this actress.
