Superstar Salman Khan, is all set to back with a cop avatar again in Antim: The Final Truth. I must say with this one the actor has stepped out of his Robinhood cop image and here we will see him as a Sardar cop engaging in some serious action. But did you know? Salman has fleshed out this character through only five scenes from the original Marathi film. Recently, the actor got talking to MidDay about how this cop is different from the one he played in Dabangg.
Talking about the same Salman told the tabloid…
I cannot play this character like Dabangg, else it will look like Dabangg 4. This is different altogether. My character here takes orders and is humiliated, but he does what he needs to do. That’s what I liked about him. In the original Marathi film, the character had four or five scenes. I took that and developed that character. I made a different film with that. I am a writer’s son, so I only look at the plot. This is [different from] the Marathi film I had seen.
Antim: The Final Truth is the official Hindi remake of a Marathi film, Mulshi Pattern. In this, Salman will be seen opposite Aayush Sharma, doing some high octane action.
Shedding some more light on his character the superstars says…
It is larger than life, while also being realistic. This character looked best alone; so, we didn’t have a heroine opposite him. The only time he is seen dancing is in Bhai ka birthday. The director wanted this kind of character. An Anees Bazmee film will be different from a David Dhawan movie. [I bring out different] facets of me on the basis of what the director wants.
Antim: The Final Truth is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and is slated to release on 26th November. Actress Mahima Makwana will be seen as the leading lady and with the few glimpses, I can say this one is a complete-action-packed entertainer that I would love to see on the 70mm.
