Sidharth Malhotra stole my heart away this year with the perfect and one of the most honourable portrayals of the Param Vir Chakra awardee, Captain Vikram Batra, in Shershaah. And now my excitement has increased manifold with the announcement of the actor headlining Yodha, the first film of the action franchise that Karan Johar is creating.
Yesterday while teasing us about the announcement Karan had said hinted at the lead actor stating that it’s ‘a dashing face’ and I couldn’t agree more. The announcement motion poster sees Sidharth in a rugged avatar holding a sniper gun and the actor looks powerful and dangerous at the same time.
Here’s the announcement video:
Going by the announcement poster, it’s clear that there is a showdown involved with Sidharth in a plane, and by the looks of it, it is going to be one adventurous ride to embark upon. The makers have also announced that the film will be releasing on November 11, 2022.
Here’s the first poster of the film:
Yodha is an aerial action film directed by the duo of Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan. It will feature two female leads that will be announced soon. But according to the buzz, the female leads are going to be Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna.
Sidharth seems to be cashing on the success of Shershaah by associating with more and more films in the action space that also includes Mission Majnu. Apart from that, he also has Thank God with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. After Shershaah, Sidharth has upped his game and it shows in his choices. I feel that this success was long overdue for the actor who throughout his nine years long career has tried to push the envelope.
