Social media has become an integral part of our lives and while most of us love not just following but also using the trends, even Bollywood stars seem to be influenced by them. One such sensation that has gotten everyone hooked, including me, has been the song Manike Mage Hithe by Sri Lankan singer Yohani. And the good news is that the viral song has made its way to the film industry already. As per reports, the song is going to feature in the film Thank God which stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh.
However, the song will be a Hindi remake of the original version which will be sung by Yohani herself. The song will be composed by Tanishk Bagchi and written by Rashmi Virag. I am totally looking forward to Manike Mage Hithe‘s desi version, especially if it is in Yohani’s soulful voice.
Talking about the song, Yohani says in a statement…
“I have received tremendous love and support from India and am extremely grateful to Bhushan Kumar, Indra Kumar, and the entire team of Thank God for presenting the Hindi version of my track in the film! I am looking forward to visiting India soon!”
On the song’s Hindi version, director Indra Kumar says,
“Yohani’s song has become a super sensation and I am extremely thankful to Bhushanji for giving me this blockbuster track to be part of ‘Thank God’! We are all very excited about this version and will begin shooting soon for the track. ‘Thank God’ is a unique slice of life comedy, and I and my whole team are looking forward to presenting it to audiences next year!”
Commenting on the same, producer Bhushan Kumar says…
“We are extremely thrilled to be collaborating with such a talented musician like Yohani and presenting her hit track Manike Mage Hithe in the first Desi version for Indian fans. We have always been at the forefront of musical trends and this is going to be an exciting track for all Indian fans! ‘Thank God’ is a special family entertainer for all audiences to come together and watch, and we are eagerly looking forward to its theatrical release soon!”
For the unversed, the slice of life comedy is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit and Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah. The film is slated to release next year, however, I am waiting for the makers to treat us to this song soon. Exciting, right?
