Covid-19 brought the world to a standstill for a very long time. But now that everything is getting back to normal, the pandemic is making sure to keep reminding us of its existence. Even though the number of cases in the city have reduced drastically, we are not completely out of the danger zone and now getting stuck under the Covid trap is the team of Oh My God 2.
Yes, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam‘s film shooting has been put to a halt for two weeks after seven members of the crew tested Covid positive. According to the report in Mid Day, these seven members from the team of OMG 2 were tested positive in the past five days. The film is being shot in suburban Mumbai. On learning this, producer Ashwin Varde put the film’s shoot to a halt for two weeks.
As per what a source told the tabloid, the members are under home quarantine and the rest of the unit is also getting tested. However, Yami, Pankaj, and director Amit Rai have been tested negative.
The source further added…
“Everyone tested negative, after which the shooting resumed. In two days’ time, however, three people started showing symptoms. The shoot was promptly put on hold, and a fresh round of tests was organised. At the time, six people were found to have contracted the virus. Both Pankaj and Yami tested negative, as did the director, Amit Rai. But it was only wise to control the outbreak at this stage, and the makers did not waste any time in calling off the shoot.”
Well, I hope everyone gets well soon from the team and things get back on track for the film. And I advise you also to stay safe and take all necessary precautions advised. Wishing you all a healthy time ahead, stay tuned!
