The release date of Alia Bhatt, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan starrer film, RRR helmed by SS Rajamouli has changed quite a lot of times in the past few months. With the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic looming over the country, many filmmakers deferred the theatrical release again. As per reports, RRR which was earlier scheduled to release on October 13, 2021 is now slated to release on January 7th 2022.
RRR helmed by SS Rajmouli will showcase the fictional tale of two great freedom fighters- Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Jr NTR will play a tribal man, based on Komaram Bheem and Ram Charan will play a police officer, based on Alluri Sitaramaraju. Alia Bhatt will play the role of Sita, Alluri’s wife while Olivia Morris will play Bheem’s love interest. Details about Ajay Devgn’s role haven’t been revealed yet.
As per a report on Bollywood Hungama, a close source revealed-
Earlier it was decided that the film would release on October 13 on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera. With the pandemic bringing the industry to a standstill, the filming got delayed. The makers of RRR are gearing up to make the announcement of their magnum opus project. While all tentpole films have taken up major dates, the filmmaker is probably kicking off the year with RRR. It’s been learnt that 2022 will begin with Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starter as the film releases on January 7, 2022.
