Actor Akshay Kumar has lost his mother Smt. Aruna Bhatia this morning. The actor took to social media to sharing the news of his loss. In his tweet, Akshay wrote that he feels unbearable pain as his mother left the world. The Bell Bottom actor’s mother succumbed to an illness for which she was hospitalized on Monday.
Akshay Kumar who was shooting in the UK for his upcoming film Cinderella, returned to Mumbai on Monday after his mother was admitted to the Hiranandani hospital. She had been unwell for a few days, and last night Akshay had taken to Twitter calling it a ‘tough hour’ for the family. He also thanked and urged fans to keep praying for his ailing mother.

She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.

Akshay has always shared a great bond with his family. In fact, in some past interviews, the actor has spoken about his strong bond with his mother. It is indeed a huge loss for the family and we offer our sincere condolences. May her soul rest in peace.
