Yami Gautam is currently gearing up for her next release, which is Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s investigative drama titled Lost. The actress whose wedding photos went viral a few months ago will be seen playing the role of a crime reporter and keeping her previous performances in mind, I am sure she’s absolutely going to nail this one.
Yami brings life to her characters and she’s pretty natural and skilled at doing so. She takes her performance up by a notch by stepping right into the shoes of her character. Even this time, she is all set to learn the Bengali language to do 100% justice to her role as a crime reporter in Lost. Apart from her, the film also stars veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee and Tushar Pandey in pivotal roles. Yami has already commenced shooting in Kolkata and she took to social media to update her fans about it.
As per a report on Bollywood Hungama, Yami shares-
Language is fundamental in giving the character a sense of belonging and looks genuine on screen. I always try to make sure that I get the regional accent or the dialect correct, even for a brief dialogue. For LOST, I am conversing with the Bengali crew on the sets to understand the little nuances of their speech. It is also helping to catch its diction for my role.
I am super excited about this movie, can’t wait to see what she has in store for us. Apart from Lost, Yami has films like A Thursday and Bhoot Police in her kitty.
