Content creation has become an even bigger industry than you think it is. Personally, I feel there’s a lot to more explore and achieve here if you’re consistent and dedicated to what you do. Coming to the picture you see above, the popular creator Prajakta Koli a.k.a. MostlySane is joining hands with Google to rule out inequalities faced by women and girls. Prajakta has always empowered and helped women in need and we’re so proud of her for being a part of this global project. It’s definitely a massive milestone for her. She has previously also been a part of ‘Creators for Change‘ which again is all about girls getting an organized system for education. Scroll down to read what she has to say about her recent collaboration.
Who run the world? Girls!
About the #ImpactChallenge
Google.org, the charitable arm of the search engine (Google) is committing a 25 million dollar grant to non-profits addressing economic inequities faced by women and girls, as its next Impact Challenge. Impact Challenges are basically a way for Google to give money and support non-profit organizations with ideas for working towards solving issues. In the past Impact Challenge, the topics that were covered were artificial intelligence and climate change.
This is what Prajakta has to say…
Google has always been such a cheerleader for creators like me. This is another such occasion where they have included me in a conversation that affects so many of us. It’s an absolute honour to be in a list that features such powerful global female leaders from around the world. I am very grateful to lend to a cause that advances equity for women and girls around the world and creates pathways to prosperity.
Global icons she will be working with…
Prajakta will be seen working with 28 other women leaders from diverse and different sectors such as the famous artist Shakira, first US National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman, athlete Naomi Osaka, Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Rigoberta Menchú Tum, and many more such honored and respectable people.
Jacquelline Fuller, the president of Google.org states
Gender inequity is one of the most urgent challenges we face as a society, and COVID-19 has put the economic future of women and girls at even greater risk. At Google.org, we believe that solving big problems requires collective action, and the people closest to the challenges are often those closest to the solution. We want to support organizations helping women and girls turn their economic potential into power: from programs addressing systemic barriers to economic equality, to those cultivating entrepreneurship, developing financial independence, and more.
With above 6 million subscribers on YouTube and 4 million on Instagram, Prajakta has always gone beyond numbers and won our hearts. She’s currently shooting for Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Season 2 of Mismatched, which we’re super excited to watch. Here’s a virtual standing ovation to her from me and Team Trending for going beyond and upwards, always. On a side note, I hope you guys are staying home and booking your vaccine slots.
