Golden boy, Neeraj Chopra made the country proud with his big achievement and officially opened India’s medals tally in the track and field category. Tokyo Olympics 2020 was great for our country and we didn’t leave any stone unturned to celebrate the victory of those who brought back medals and also those who represented our country on such a huge platform, because that in itself is a huge deal. Netizens showered love in the form of comments filled with praises, emoticons, tears of joy and most importantly, some fun memes! One such meme that instantly became a public hit was the one revolving around Akshay Kumar.
Netizens on Twitter and Instagram made memes on Akshay Kumar gearing up for a film based on Neeraj Chopra and shared a throwback picture of Akshay from his first film Saugandh, wherein he can be seen holding a stick in his hand. During a recent interview, when Akshay was asked about this post, he said he found it very funny and gave a very interesting reply. The actor was in all praises for the Olympian and shared his views.
When asked about him playing Neeraj Chopra’s role in a movie based on him, Akshay Kumar says-
I would say he is a very good looking guy, agar mera koi biopic karega toh woh kar sakta hai. I saw that meme where I am holding a stick in my hand, it’s from my first film ‘Saugandh’. People started saying, ‘ Are, abhi se practice chalu ho gayi!’ I found it very funny.
On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in Bellbottom alongside Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta among others. The movie is slated to release on 19th August and I’m totally looking forward to watching it.
