Kartik Aaryan is one of the most sought out stars in the industry today. Having said that, he has a stellar lineup of films in the pipeline and one of them is Ram Madhvani‘s Dhamaka. It’s a remake of a Korean film titled The Terror Live and is now in the post-production stage.
According to a Bollywood Hungama article, the movie is slated to release on Netflix in October 2021. The film will be based on the story of a news anchor (Kartik Aaryan) who tries to use a terrorist attack in order to boost his career.
As per a report on Bollywood Hungama, a close source quoted-
The current scenario is such that more and more firms are opting for an OTT release especially since theatre business has drastically declined due to Covid. Keeping this in mind, OTT platforms are now slotting releases in quick succession, and Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka is one of them.
Yes, Netflix has locked the release of Dhamaka in October this year. The reason being, the festive season of Navratri and Dusshera. Being the usual release pattern for films to release on festive occasions, the digital giant is looking to maximise its viewership with a similar method.
