After long 15 years of being married, actor Aamir Khan and filmmaker/producer Kiran Rao have announced their divorce in a joint statement. The two, mutually have decided to part ways but will co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. Aamir and Kiran were married for 15 years and have worked together on several projects which have been a big success.
In a joint statement released to the media, the couple said, they will still continue with their professional partnership on ‘Paani Foundation‘ and other projects that they feel passionate about. The two also said, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy, and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect, and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives, no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other.”
Aamir and Kiran have also thanked their family and friends who have been a constant source of love and support over the past 15 years. The two have also requested their well-wishers and fans to not see this separation as an end but as the start of a new journey.
