Due to the second wave of COVID-19, we saw many Bollywood films opting for a digital release, like Toofan and Sherni among others. While we all are eagerly waiting for the situation to simmer down so that we can enjoy films on the big screen, according to reports, the makers of Taapsee Pannu‘s Rashmi Rocket are also planning to go the digital route and are in talks with multiple streaming giants for the release. The final decision is expected to be taken in a few days.
Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development as saying—”The makers have decided to release the film on an OTT platform, and are in talks with multiple streaming giants for the same. A final call will be taken in a few day”.
Taapsee had launched the film’s motion poster in August 2019, and in January this year had revealed through her social media that the much-awaited film is racing towards the last schedule. According to reports, Rashmi Rocket’s final schedule was shot in Gujarat and wrapped up on January 26.
Helmed by Akarsh Khurana, the film will see Priyanshu Painyuli and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. The sports drama is penned by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha and Kanika Dhillon and jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya.
