American actor Joe Lara, famous for his portrayal of Tarzan, unfortunately succumbed to a freak airplane crash near a lake in Nashville, USA yesterday.
The actor was accompanied by his wife, Gwen Lara, who was one of the 7 people to lose their lives in the crash. According to the Rutherford County Fire & Rescue (RCFR)‘s Facebook post, the plane was going from Smyrna, Tennessee airport for Palm Beach, Florida. It went down into Percy Priest Lake, about 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of Nashville. While the search was on from Saturday, on Sunday, the RCFR shared on Facebook that in their recovery operations, they found “several components of the aircraft as well as human remains” in a debris field.
Joe starred in the the 1989 television movie ‘Tarzan in Manhattan’. He later went on to star in the television series, ‘Tarzan: The Epic Adventures’, which ran from 1996-1997. He married his wife, Gwen Lara in 2018 and was a diet expert. She had two children from her previous marriage, while she and Joe had no children together.
This sure is sad news. Sending their family strength and here’s praying their souls rest in peace.
