News of one of our favourite, high-society teen dramas, Gossip Girl, coming back to our screens for a reboot surely did get me and a lot of fans super excited!
Now, HBO Max has released the teaser to the show and like it’s predecessor, it’s all glam, all glitz and all drama, of course! And it brings back Kristen Bell as the iconic mystery narrator of the show. I mean, who else could go ‘xoxo, gossip girl’ better than her, no?
The teaser introduces us to the main cast, and while there were speculations about anyone from the OG series making a comeback with this, the teaser proves that this reboot is all about the millennials and GenZ kids in the era of 2021, and how they are all about their social media image. It’s all set to star Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith.
In the teaser, we hear Gossip Girl say, “Thinking you’re in control of your image, your actions, the narrative. But you forgot one thing: I can see you. And before I’m through, I’ll make sure you see me too. XOXO”. Now, if that’s not going to get us excited!
