Instagram is currently one of the most loved and widely used social media platforms. There’s so much that we can do on this app, don’t you agree? With everything that’s happening around us right now, this app is like a getaway for many of us! Time and again this social media platform rolls out new features and updates, in order to make it more user-friendly. With their latest update, Instagram wishes to make the experience for creators and small businesses more seamless and comfortable. Here’s everything you need to know to stay updated with the most popular social media platform, Instagram.
What are the new Instagram updates?
1. Option to hide public ‘Like’ counts
We absolutely love how Instagram rolled out an option to hide public ‘like’ counts, to give people more control of their experience. While some people may like to track their ‘likes’ on posts and videos others may feel anxious. As people’s needs are changing, giving them a more flexible and positive experience is what the app aims to achieve. Therefore, with the help of this update, it depressurizes users and lets individuals decide what’s best for them.
2. Insights introduced for Instagram Reels and Live videos
After limiting the insights feature to feed posts for a long time now Instagram announced insights for Reels and live videos too, isn’t this cool? This new feature gives creators and influencers an opportunity to grow their audience and engage with their followers even more. Feedback is very important and the app’s new feature helps content creators to get a detailed and transparent analysis of the type of accounts they are reaching and which content formats are the most effective at driving engagement.
3. You can add pronouns to your bio
We come across millennial and Gen-Z users mentioning their pronouns in their bio, amirite? Instagram wishes to make this experience more seamless with their new feature which gives freedom to users to express their identity freely. The best part is that it allows users to add up to 4 pronouns to their bio. This feature is entirely optional and one can skip it if they wish to or edit the same as and when needed. Instagram gives a dozen of pronoun options from which one can choose the most preferred. Click here to read more.
