Legendary director Yash Chopra gave us films that were just not some mere movies but masterpieces that still continue to make us feel nostalgic. Dancing diva Madhuri Dixit recently opened up while interacting with her fans and expressed how progressive the late director was and shared her experience of working with him.

Yash Chopra’s movies gave us some of the best love stories and characters that we all could relate to. Be it Veer Zaara, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, or Band Baaja Baarat, the director never missed a chance to impress fans. During the interaction with fans for Madzness Awards, Chopra’s Dil Toh Pagal Hai was declared Best Film.

Speaking of Yash Chopra, the actress said-

Yashji was a very progressive director and he always kept up with times. His films like ‘Deewaar’, ‘Daag’, ‘Kala Patthar’ and many more are all very progressive. Even women characters were very progressive and played an important part in his films.

When I got the opportunity to work with him, I heard the script and fell in love with him. The film was about love and how this girl believes she will meet her soulmate, which is exactly what I used to think and the same happened to me when I met Shriram Nene.

What I liked most about him was he would let the artists free to do their bit. He would not give directions on how to act, he would just give an outline and let the actors enact, and whatever came out was very natural, which reflected in his films.

Madhuri Dixit is all set to enter the OTT space with the thriller series Finding Anamika. She will be playing the role of a  superstar actress who goes missing under some suspicious circumstances. The show will also star Manav Kaul and Sanjay Kapoor.

Note: We urge you all to stay safe and follow all the necessary safety precautions. Times are tough, but we are in this together, and I’m sure this phase will soon be over. Until then, stay safe and keep your loved ones safe!
