Amid the ongoing second wave of Covid-19, several Bollywood celebrities have come forward to extend their support in helping people across India. From Sonu Sood to Gurmeet Choudhary, many celebrities have contributed in every way possible to reach out to the ones affected by the pandemic. Bollywood actress, Huma Qureshi recently joined hands with the global non-profit organization Save The Children for Covid-19 relief.
The actress had urged people to donate to the cause as she pledged to build a hospital in Delhi with 100 beds and an oxygen plant. As per the reports of the Hindustan Times, Huma thought that at first the people from the industry ignored her appeal but little did she know that several celebrities had already donated towards her humanitarian act, quietly and without any publicity. She said, “There are people who don’t want any kind of fanfare and we need to understand and appreciate that goodness. I just want to tell people that before trolling someone, they should know that a lot of people are doing a lot of work behind the scenes. And if someone is taking time out from work even to help one person, what is bigger than that?”
It is very inspiring to see Bollywood celebrities coming together to help the nation during the pandemic. I am truly encouraged by their good work and would reach out to someone who needs help, even if it’s in the smallest way possible. On that note, hope everyone is staying safe at home and taking care of themselves.
