If you are a true-blue Bollywood fan, you would definitely know the IT girl gang of B-Town — Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora and a few others. Theirs is a girl gang who have gone through each others’ careers, marriages, motherhood, and so much more together.
In the first episode of ‘Girls Like You’ exclusively on the Malini’s GirlTribe App, Kareena Kapoor Khan speaks about her tribe — her girls — who are a very important part of her life. Given the common conception of a “girl gang” is that all they do is talk about clothes, shoes and bags, Bebo is here to tell the ones who still think so that it is much more than that.
Bebo says:
No matter what people say, I think we are a bunch of aspirational and inspirational women. We’ve always done what we wanted – whether it was Amu (Amrita Arora) being a mother of two, Karisma still working after going through a turmoil in her life – (her) separation – or be it Malaika, (going through) the same and has always been a trendsetter in every way. 4-5 of us are a group of girls who are fiercely individual, fiercely independent. So it’s not just about clothes, shoes and bags.
Well, this is what we mean when we say a girl gang is much more than ‘just clothes, shoes or bags’. It’s about being there for each other and having each others’ backs for life!
