During phase one of the lockdown, many turned to kaftans to spend their days and nights in. In no time, Bollywood A-listers made it their go-to outfit. From the queen of kaftans, Kareena Kapoor Khan to Neha Dhupia, Tara Sutaria, Diana Penty and more, no one’s been able to steer clear of this fuss-free silhouette. And now it’s Nushrratt Bharuccha. Only two days back, we spotted the actor sport a kaftan-esque dress for the promotions of Ajeeb Dastaans which is a playful take on this popular silhouette and can serve as the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe. Honestly, what spells summer better than florals?
For the event, Nushrratt was styled by Nidhi Jeswani who dressed her in a magenta number from Limerick by Abirr N’ Nanki‘s resort 2021 collection, Aurora which they presented at the recently concluded FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week. The fit-and-flare dress featured a V-neck, a fitted bodice with a flared skirt and playful dolman sleeves. Against the purple backdrop stood out aquatic flowers like light pink lotuses blooming out of the water.
How Nushrratt Bharuccha styled her dress:
Keeping the vibrancy of the entire look in check, Nushrratt paired her multicoloured dress with strappy, purple and red heels. To keep her flirty dress in the spotlight, she gave statement accessories a skip except for half moon gold earrings from Talisman.
A half and half, high ponytail upped the drama of her summery look. Defined eyebrows with neutral eyeshadow, heavy kohl and a mauve lip stain were her makeup picks for the event.
Florals for spring are groundbreaking and that’s a well-established fact. So it’s a no-brainer to stock up on a dress similar to Nushrratt’s to up the game of your summer closet. Style it up further with tiered gold necklaces or statement earrings with an eye-catching handstack—accessory picks you just won’t ever go wrong in!
