When it comes to recent makeup trends you might have noticed there’s been an influx of bold colours and creative looks. Whether you’re at home or finally stepping out everyone’s all excited about playing with a full-face of makeup and having fun after the year we’ve just had. But on the other hand if, you’re just don’t have the patience to deal with any tricky graphic liners or 15 step contour heavy looks we don’t blame you. Not everyone has the time to spend on full-face every day.
However, that doesn’t mean you can’t be trying your hand at a few simpler trends On the flip side many of the trends this year are about embracing the skin you’re in and fresh easy to do looks that can be simple or statement-making. It’s all up to you, however, you can’t deny the instant mood-boosters just a swipe of highlighter or a single sweep of colour on your lids can have. With that said we’ve narrowed down a handful of beauty trends that’ll you’ll see everywhere this year but we promise won’t take forever to nail down.
Keep scrolling to check out the easy to do beauty trends you’ve got to try:
1. All Over Blush
Fun, fresh and vibrant this look should really take you no time at all. Blush is basically like a shot of coffee for your face and when applied correctly it can instantly light your face. Plus it really can do it all, it’s a contour, highlighter, and eyeshadow all in one. While many prefer to go more subtle with their blush now is the time to go a bit heavy-handed. Drape your blush in a C-shape from the temples to your cheekbones. You can even blend it a bit into your eyeshadow for a modern monochrome look. For a natural flushed skin look use a cream blush as your base first then sweep a powder blush on top to set your look. And ta-dah you’ve got an absolutely stunning glowy look for spring and summer.
2. Natural Fluffy Brows
With fewer brow appointments people have been able to finally grow out their brows. Now it’s all about embracing their natural fluffiness. Take it to new heights by using the soap method to slick them back and keep them in place. If you’re struggling with sparse hairs, create the illusion of thicker strands by going in with hair-like strokes with an eyebrow pencil and clear brow gel first.
3. Lip Stains
Bold statement lip shades are in but if you still can’t deal with fully opaque colours try a barely-there or more vibrant lip stain. With long-lasting wear and lighter formulas, lip stains give you a soft dreamy colour that’s low maintenance and easy to wear under your face mask.
4. Colourful Mascara
You’ve seen the colourful eyeliners all over Instagram so it’s only natural the next step would be unexpected shades of mascara. If you don’t have the patience to do a graphic look or simple blue liner, a colourful mascara is fun and so easy to do. Just swipe on a few coats of mascara and you’re good to go. Plus with our face masks, all the focus is on our eyes. A mascara like this is an easy way to add a pop of colour to your everyday look or the perfect finishing touch to a colour-coordinated glam eye. Next time ditch your go-to black mascara for a fun hue like purple or blue.
5. Skinimalism
Get that skincare regime fired up because dewy and natural skin is everywhere. Ditch that heavy foundation and concealer. Instead, opt for a more minimal makeup approach when you step out, like a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation and add pops of highlight on the apples of the cheeks for a natural glow.
