Junglee Pictures in December 2020 had announced its third collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana, titled, Doctor G. While the film was being directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, nothing more about the project was known. Today, Rakul Preet Singh took to her social media to announce that she has joined the cast of the film and will be essaying the role of Dr Fatima. The actress has been paired with Ayushmann for the first time and is super happy to work alongside him.

Rakul in her recent statement said that she is super excited to be a part of Doctor G and that she fell in love with the script the moment she heard it. She also believes this film will provide a new perspective to the audience as it’s a very fresh concept. Anubhuti also shared her positivity about this on-screen pair by saying
It is fresh just like the characters they play in the film. Their energies and chemistry will be unique and refreshing for the audience.
