Vidya Balan has been married to producer Siddharth Roy Kapur since 2012, and have always been a couple who have been low-key when it comes to their public appearances and social media. Vidya recently opened up about her marriage in an interview where she spoke about what the secret to keeping a marriage alive is, and it really is a point well made!
The actress was speaking to ETimes in an exclusive interview, where she spoke about how all relationships require effort and what it takes to keep the spark in a marriage alive. She says that it is quite easy for a spouse to take the other for granted and that it’s a “terrible thing” which leads to the spark going away. She adds that all the work that goes into a successful marriage is all about avoiding such a situation.
Vidya elaborates that in a marriage, you are living with a person you haven’t grown up with and it is very possible for one to take the other for granted. She says that in her eight years of marriage, she has discovered that the effort has always been to not let that happen and adds that it’s been joyous for her.
The actress ends by saying that slipping there will cause the relationship to become mundane and that she loves the work that goes into keeping the marriage exciting and strong.
Well, if this isn’t some wise and solid advice, no? Always trust Vidya to say the right things!
On the work front, Vidya was last seen in the short film, Natkhat. She also featured in the film, Shakuntala Devi that released on OTT last year. She has the film, Sherni, next which is being directed by ‘Newton’ director, Amit Masurkar, and I sure cannot wait to see her in it!
