Priyanka Chopra Jonas has had a one of the most interesting, exciting and grand career path that has taken her from a small town in India to Bollywood and now Hollywood! She sure is an inspiration for so many young girls out there when it comes to following your dreams and being strong, resilient and hard-working to get what you want.
Now, she is looking back at it all, and documenting all that has brought her to where she is now in her memoir, ‘Unfinished’. The actress/entrepreneur has been promoting the book virtually, given the pandemic. Just a few hours ago, she gave all her fans and followers on social media a sneak peek into a small excerpt from her book via an audio note.
She spoke about how careers in the film and showbiz industry majorly revolves around your physical appearance. She shares that it seemed like her career then was over, even before it began because of this very reason. She writes, “I felt as if a doorway to paradise had been opened and then slammed in my face, and it hurt”.

In a recent interview with Metro UK, the actress spoke about how she has faced criticism about her physical appearance from very early on in her career. She shares how, right after she won the Miss World pageant in 2000, a director asked her “to get a boob job done, fix her jaw and add more cushioning to her butt.” She says that the media also wrote about her as being “dusky” and “different looking”, making her question if she was even cut out for this industry and business.
In her book, the actress has reportedly addressed rumours of her undergoing plastic surgery.
I sure cannot wait for PC to drop her memoir tomorrow! On the work front, the actress is reeling from all the praise for her latest film, The White Tiger. She also wrapped up shoot for her film ‘Text For You’ in London recently. She will also be seen in Matrix 4 alongside Keanu Reeves, Neil Patrick Harris and Carrie-Anne Moss.
