Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair helmed Special Ops dropped in March 2020 and became the audience’s favourite in no time. The makers recently announced a 3-episode mini-series called Special Ops 1.5 which largely chronicles Kay Kay Menon’s character Himmat Singh, who is a part of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). In the first season, Himmat recruits 5 undercover agents who assist him on a mission. They were played by Muzamil Ibrahim, Karan Tacker, Vipul Gupta, Meher Vij and Saiyami Kher.
Now according to a report by Pinkvilla, Muzamil has revealed that the makers of Special Ops are planning to create multiple franchises for the show. He was quoted as saying—“Just like the Marvel universe, they are creating a world of Special Ops as well. The idea is that the existing agents will take the franchise forward. So there will be Special Ops 2.5, Special Ops 3.5 and so on that will revolve around the central characters of the show. Though I am not sure if those will be a prequel or a sequel, as that is still being planned out. But just like in season 1, the agents will continue going on bigger missions in the subsequent seasons too”.
Muzamil further informed that Special Ops season 2 is expected to roll by the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022.
