Given the new strain of virus that has alerted all countries globally, safety protocols and guidelines have been implemented. This includes mandatory institutional quarantine of 14 days — 7 days in an institution with an RT PCR test and the rest can be home quarantine. Passengers travelling from the UK and the Middle-Eastern countries have especially been instructed to follow this. But, seems like Sohail Khan, his brother Arbaaz Khan and son Nirvaan Khan might have skipped that, leading them in some trouble.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) launched a complaint against this trio and now there is an FIR that has been registered under their name at the Khar Police Station under the Epidemic Act, 1897 and Disaster Management Act 2005 for violating the COVID-19 guidelines.
Brothers Sohail and Arbaaz returned from UAE on December 25th and informed the airport authorities that they will be staying at Taj Lands End. But after an enquiry by a civic body, it was found that they cancelled their bookings and went home. Sohail’s son Nirvaan is said to have returned on 30th of December and also dodged the quarantine.
Arbaaz and Sohail were also present at brother Salman Khan‘s birthday celebrations that took place on 27th December and officials are now thinking of doing a contact tracing to make sure everyone from the party is doing safe.
The three are now quarantining at Taj Lands End post which they will take a RT PCR test .
