When speaking of loungewear, it would be incorrect to not mention the humble kaftan. This floaty and fashionable number has garnered a lot of celebrity love over the years, but the year 2020 really put it in a spotlight! Kareena Kapoor Khan may be the biggest kaftan fan, but during the lockdown, this breezy silhouette won the vote of approval of stars like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Neha Dhupia, Malaika Arora and now Tara Sutaria. Tara’s off-duty style is slick, suave and anything but basic and her latest look is a testament of her classy-but-make-it-fun taste. Spotted outside a dubbing studio in Bandra, Tara picked a floor-sweeping off-white kaftan by Arpita Mehta, featuring a bandhani-like print. The deep V-neck number also came with a centre-slit and tasselled hemline with mirror-work and shell detailing. Instead of wearing it as is, Tara gave the look more definition by teaming the kaftan with white palazzos. The star skipped on accessorising her look with jewellery and completed it with an iridescent sling bag, that added some bling to her ensemble.
For her beauty, Tara Sutaria went for minimal use of products and flaunted her bare, glowy skin. A generous coat of mascara, flushed cheeks and a mauve lip stain completed her look. Instead of filling them in, Tara chose to show off her retro-esque thin eyebrows. A slick low bun with a middle partition was her hairdo for the evening.
