Netflix‘s latest and buzziest series, Bridgerton is all that anyone can talk about… And I wouldn’t blame them. From the sex and scandal to the captivating actors, jewels, tea-sets, and historical drama, this show offers so much style and beauty inspiration. A delightful confection of all things we’d witness in a high-society like that. Scroll below to check out all the big hairdos, blunt and short bangs, eyebrow arches, and so on:
1. Daphne Bridgerton‘s soft glam
Many would say that Daphne Bridgerton’s makeup and hair marked a very distinct look to that of Audrey Hepburn. To say I was completely in love with all her hair and makeup looks would be an understatement. Her delicate and minimal look (complete with her micro-fringe haircut) was very much so like Audrey Hepburn in the 1950s film, War and Peace.
2. Bangs! Bangs! And more bangs!
Daphne and Eloise Bridgerton each had their own distinct style. Daphne’s micro cropped bangs, parted in the centre was the appropriate and approved hairstyle of those times. Whilst her sister, Eloise (who was not like the rest of the women who wore lady-like updos with bows, feathers, and jewels) had a mod, shaggy haircut with a blunt fringe.
3. Queen Charlotte‘s hair
From the many so-called “normal” hairstyles of those times, I found myself completely in awe of Queen Charlotte’s hair. Every time she appeared on screen, not only did she command attention but she wore a different coloured and styled wig! The show’s head hair and makeup designer, Marc Pilcher mentioned that the reason was to show the queen’s African descent.
4. Braid parade
While Daphne’s Audrey-like style was seen in more parts of the show, her elegant micro-fringe that was styled to make the curl set inward along with crown braids that were intertwined with her head accessories was something I felt to be so beautiful and royal-like.
5. Braided crown heads
The higher and bigger the hair, the better right? The Featherington ladies were known for their loud styles and bold colours but their red hair is what stood out the most. From braids to florals, these ladies could pull of any unique style with ease.
6. High-brow
Lady Danbury is one of those iconic women. Strong, fearless and with perfectly groomed arches, there’s nothing this lady does not know and cannot do.
7. Ribbon headbands
If Blair Waldorf could see this, she’d approve of Eloise’s ribbon headband choice. Adorned with a few pearls and beads, this style of wearing a ribbon as a headband is definitely one I can get onboard with even today!
