Anil Kapoor has been an actor who has, in all these years, only grown as a performer and proved that he is an evergreen star who is as relevant today as he was in his times. He has done more than 100 films in his career and even today, has some super interesting films in his kitty.
But ask him if there was any film he has signed that he regrets and he tells Hindustan Times that he doesn’t. He however agrees that he did sign a few films in the past only for the money and to support his family.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Anil says:
I did. In fact, I can even name them–Andaz and Heer Ranjha. After Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, the family was in a crisis and each one of us did what we had to do for survival, out of a sense of responsibility. I have no qualms about admitting that. Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja released in 1993 after a long delay. The film was a massive flop at the box office.
The veteran actor went on to add:
My family and I are fortunate that those times are behind us and our circumstances since then have not been as tough. But if our luck takes a turn and we ever face bad times again, I will not think twice about doing whatever it takes to take care of my family.
On the work front, Anil was last seen in the Netflix film AK Vs AK opposite Anurag Kashyap. He also has Jug Jug Jeeyo, which he was filming for recently. The film stars him alongside Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Prajakta Koli and Maneish Paul.
