The shooting of Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer Bachchan Panday has kickstarted. The film, helmed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will also star Pankaj Tripathi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prateik Babbar and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles.
Sharing a picture of his look, Akshay Kumar took his social media and wrote— “New year, old associations…begun shooting for #BachchanPandey, my 10th film with #SajidNadiadwala, and hopefully many more. Need your best wishes and do tell me your thoughts on the look.”

Actress Kriti Sanon had also taken to her social media to share a couple of pictures of her from the sets of Bachchan Panday. Her caption read— “1st day of 1st film shoot in 2021! With the production that gave me my very 1st film! #BachchanPandey here we go”.

In Bachchan Pandey, Akshay Kumar is all set to play the role of a gangster, who aspires to be an actor. Kriti Sanon will play a journalist, who wishes to be a filmmaker while Arshad Warsi will play the role of a struggling actor. The film is loosely based on 2014’s Tamil action film Veeram, according to reports.
The team of Bachchan Panday will reportedly wrap the shooting by March.
