How To Create A Vision Board?
To create the best vision board to help you get clarity on what you want, here are some simple and essential steps:
- Define your goals by being specific. Identify potential professional and personal paths that you want to pursue. Have aspirations in your personal and professional life like travel, relationships, career, abundance, money, success—the areas you want to focus on.
- Find your inspiration in the form of pictures. You could get images online and print them, or use magazine cutouts.
- Map out your board and curate your dream list. Structure them over the board in a creative way.
- Bring your vision board to life with inspired actions. Take concrete, motivating actions towards your most pressing goals. Take inspired and realistic actions for every vision of yours!
- Place it where you can see it daily, like your home office wall or bedroom.
- Tune in to the feeling of gratitude; “thank you” is a beautiful prayer. Also, offer thanks in advance for what you desire.
- Remember the phrase, “This or something better!” Maintain social distancing from disappointment.
- Don’t feel the need to explain yourself to others. Believe in yourself and in your desires; it’s okay if others do not believe in your vision.
- Take a photo of your vision board. Save your vision board’s image as a wallpaper on your phone or laptop.
- Trust the universe. It always has your back!
- Try a manifesting ritual like visualisation, meditation or whatever works for you.
Parting Thoughts…
By using our imagination and practising the art of “act as if…”, that is, assuming that the wishes are being fulfilled and steadfastly refusing to allow any evidence of the outer world to distract us from our intentions, we will feel gratitude in advance and have the confidence to take the required actions.
The important thing to remember is that the words and images should provoke positive feelings in you. When you feel good, you think positively, and attract more positivity into your life. Don’t make a vision board full of what other people want for you. Stay true to yourself, create your own amazing vision board, and most of all, enjoy the process!
Mansi says,
You won’t have your vision board with you at all times, but if you close your eyes, you can visualise the images it holds. Highly kinaesthetic people can generate the same, strong emotions with or without their vision board. Use this trick throughout the day to inspire and motivate you. It’s not magic, but it can feel magical as things begin to change for you. Let yourself have a little fun creating and using your vision board.
