The nationwide lockdown induced by the COVID-19 pandemic seriously did turn our lives upside down, didn’t it? And this time really led a lot of artists and filmmakers to find content and stories in everyday life. From short films and advertisements being shot at home to directors like Ram Gopal Varma shooting an entire film form the confines of a home, a lot of people have been inspired to do something out of the box in these times.
Director and producer Madhur Bhandarkar is one such person. The Fashion director is all set to start work on his next project titled Indian Lockdown. The film is going to be inspired by real events and they will begin work on it from January 2021.
Here is film analyst Taran Adarsh’s tweet confirming the news:
The casting for the project is said to be underway. The movie is set to be produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures.
Madhur’s last film outing as a director was the film ‘Indu Sarkar’ that starred Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Anupam Kher among others. He is always known to bring in hard-hitting and realistic stories to life and I sure can’t wait to know more about India Lockdown!
