Varun Dhawan and girlfriend Natasha Dalal are sure a super sweet couple, no? In the recent past, they haven’t been shying away from posting some cute pictures together, but for most part, they have been tight-lipped about their relationship. Recently, Varun spoke about his relationship on the show ‘What Women Want’ with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bebo might have just confirmed that the couple are engaged!
While asking Varun about his relationship with Natasha, she seemingly introduced her as his fiancée, thus confirming all the speculations about their engagement. Varun, answering her question and talking about his marriage plans, said that after being in a relationship for so long with a person, is quite a natural progression.
He added:
See, marriage, coming into this time period when you have been with someone for so long… I felt like getting married after I saw my brother and my bhabhi. When I saw my niece Niara, I was like, ‘This is good.’
Speaking about how long he has been dating Natasha, he said that they have known each other since the sixth grade, adding, “We had not been dating since then. We were friends till the eleventh or twelfth grade. We were very close friends.”
Speaking about how he fell for her, he said:
I still remember, we went to Maneckji Cooper, she was in the yellow house and I was in the red house. It was on the basketball court. So, in the lunch break, in the canteen, they give you food and an energy drink. I remember her walking, I remember seeing her, and actually, when I saw her that day, I felt like I fell in love with her. That was it.
He even shared that she rejected him 3-4 times, but he still did not give up hope. Talk about being a true-blue romantic, no?
Previously, there were reports that the couple were set to tie the knot in a destination wedding in Thailand this year. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have pushed it to a further date.
On the professional front, Varun is all set for the release of his film Coolie No. 1 opposite Sara Ali Khan. The David Dhawan directorial is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on the 25th of December.
