Every week I wait eagerly to take a look back at our B-town celebrities stepping out in the city. It leaves me with oodles of fashion inspiration and ideas on how to make my wardrobe work to my advantage. Especially since we’re barely stepping out during this time, I’m sure everyone wants to know how to get the most use from their pyjama sets. Even so, I just like enjoying my weekly dose of fashion and fun. Scroll on to see some of my favourite Bollywood outfits from the week that was.
Here’s a look at Bollywood and their weekly fashion:
1) Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa Shetty always puts her best fashion foot forward. She’s wearing a pair of paper-bag waist, dark jeans with a black Money Heist t-shirt. A delicate necklace, white sneakers, a custom Maison Goyard tote bag and a blue denim jacket in hand complete her look. Of course, another accessory that caught our eye is the Money Heist facemask, which she might have been wearing upside down. The whole look is cool AF.
2) Taapsee Pannu
Taapsee Paanu is the queen of experimental fashion. All her looks are fresh, young and playful. She steps out in a more Indie style this time. A blue, hand-blocked, floral print dress, white sandals and an antique silver necklace complete her casual look. Her stand out accessory is the JW Anderson taupe wool, belt tote bag. A tan leather buckle belt has cleverly been remodelled into bag straps. Cool look, no?
3) Nora Fatehi
Nora Fatehi gets off-duty, street style fashion best. There’s literally nothing to fault with her trendy approach to clothes. Take for example this Plam Angeles cotton bubble gum pink hoodie. It’s adorable because you see a teddy bear and then you notice his head ripped off, kinda like a metaphor on life. It really made me giggle. I love that she pairs her look with black cycling tights. To accessorise she wears oversized brown sunglasses, stud diamond earrings, black ankle boots and a cream Louis Vuitton tote bag.
4) Bhumi Pednekar
For the promotions of Durgamati, Bhumi Pednekar wears a checkered midi-dress. I’m not sure if this dress works on Bhumi, I really like the idea of it because frankly what’s not to love about a white pussy-bow blouson. And what’s not to love about a vintage-looking dress. Her hair and makeup work really well with the whole vibe she’s going for. Stud earrings and red kitten heel shoes complete her look. This fashion-savvy star could have done better with this look with a pair of higher heels.
5) Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone looks adorable in a polo-neck midi dress. The knit dress features colourful rainbow stripes and hugs every curve on her fit body. The dress elongates her body making her look much taller. Wavy, beach curls and wing liner add to her glam. Black strappy sandals complete this party look. If you want your fashion to be on point for your end of year celebrations take a cue from Sunny.
6) Alaya F
Alaya F does Indian fashion coolly and with a modern spin too. I actually love this look because it’s something I would wear too. And Indianwear is not amongst the many investments I make. Alaya wears a pista green Chikankar salwar paired with white palazzo pants with silver dangly earrings. What makes her look modern is the cream sandals with a chunky heel and the Louis Vuitton tote bag.
7) Manushi Chhillar
Manushi Chhillar is nailing airport fashion with this simple and easy to achieve look. She opts for a black polo neck, long sleeve top that she pairs with blue wide-leg jeans. For accessories, a pair of black and white sneakers and a poppy coloured handbag complete her look.
8) Amyra Dastur
Amyra Dastur wears a block-printed sharara set to the airport. While the outfit looks like it’s made from soft cotton and might feel comfortable, it looks like it might be uncomfortable to travel in. I like the print on the whole ensemble but definitely didn’t think the yoke on the chest and that bracelet work for the overall outcome.
9) Patralekha
Patralekha’s athleisure fashion is totally on-point. She opts for a matching black, zipper front sports bra with black leggings. She ties a soft pleather bomber jacket around her waist that adds a touch of cool to her look. Black oval sunglasses, a black gym bag and grey sneakers finish out her look.
10) Kirti Kulhari
Kriti Kulhari wears a military green shirt that she pairs effortlessly with a floral maxi skirt. Olive sneakers and a clear green shoulder bag add to her casual look. Although, the fashion statement here is those oversized, yellow tint, retro sunglasses.
