The globetrotter and multi-hyphenate personality, Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently announced that she has been appointed as the British Fashion Council ambassador for Positive Change. Another noteworthy addition to the global star’s kitty of achievements. The Positive Change initiative is designed to promote ethical and sustainable practices in fashion and give equal opportunities and recognition to one and all. Last night, the actor posted a picture of herself on her Instagram talking about her duties as the ambassador, one of them being “celebrating the extraordinary talent of South Asian designers”. The picture saw her dressed in a pantsuit made by a Bangalore-born designer Kaushik Velendra, which aptly captured the boss-lady persona of the actor! More details of the look below.
A closer look at Priyanka Chopra’s look:
If you need an example of “power-dressing”, Priyanka’s latest look is the apt representation the phrase. The monochrome set is from the designer’s spring/summer’21 collection that he presented at London Fashion Week in 2019. Styled by Luxury Law, the structured white blazer featured black padded shoulders with black mesh drapes, that gave the illusion of an armoured suit. With the blazer, Priyanka wore a pair of black trousers, as shown in the full runway look below. For accessories, Priyanka went for a pair of dainty diamond earrings and skipped on any additional jewellery to let the suit bask in the spotlight.
Beauty wise, the actor opted for winged smokey eyes with a generous use of kohl and muted pink lips. She further enhanced the boss-babe vibe of her outfit with a voluminous high-bun and a retro puff in the front.
