Rahul Roy, who rose to fame after he starred in the original Aashiqui directed by Mahesh Bhatt in 1990, recently suffered from a health setback. He was shooting for his film LAC – Live The Battle in Kargil where he suffered a stroke. According to a report in Indian Express, the actor has now been brought to Mumbai and is in the ICU at Nanavati hospital.
Speaking about the reason for the sudden stroke, a source told Indian Express that the extreme weather conditions back in Kargil was what affected the actor, who first had to be rushed to Srinagar from Kargil. He was then shifted to a hospital in Mumbai for treatment.
When the publication contacted Rahul’s brother-in-law, Romeer Sen, he reportedly told them that the Aashiqui actor is ‘recovering’.
In his upcoming film, LAC – Live The Battle, Rahul is set to play a Colonel in the Army. The film is also set to star ex-Bigg Boss 14 contestant, Nishant Singh Malkhani, who will headline the project. Directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta and the team was on a 17-day schedule in Kargil, by the end oflIVE which Rahul suffered this health emergency.
