Dhoom 2 was a film that was iconic for many reasons. It was an action film that was suave, thrilling and smart and changed the action-film game in India. And it also introduced us to Hrithik Roshan in a never-seen-before, Greek God-like avatar — making us all swoon and how!
Hrithik, as Mr. A or Aryan, was the antagonist in the film that also starred Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, and Uday Chopra. The film completed 14 years yesterday and Hrithik took to his social media to reminisce about working on it. At the end of his note, he added that when the movie was set to release, all the actors only promoted it for one day. Well, that quite is something, considering they now start promoting their films a month or two in advance.
In his note, he also spoke about how Dhoom 2 was his “induction into the school of how to be sexy”. He thanked celebrity stylist, Anaita Shroff Adajania for teaching him that.
Speaking about the character of Aryan in the film, he wrote:
Aryan was a side of me I didn’t know existed. I remember breathing and meditating many times a day to find that composure which I could envision Aryan having but had no idea how to produce. I was inspired by 3 actors for this role. Bruce Willis, Pierce Brosnan and Mr Bachchan for his pauses. I kinda threw them into a mixer and out came Aryan. I think a bit of Aryan will live on forever inside me.
And there can be no one who could have been a better Aryan, amirite?
Hrithik was last seen in the film, War, opposite Tiger Shroff, and that was yet another film where he absolutely killed it with his good looks and action-packed performance.
